Welcome to my crafty corner!

I’m Jastine, I started to crochet back in 2014. I taught myself by watching numerous YouTube videos until I finally caught on. I really enjoyed the relaxation that it brought and the creativity that I was able to express through my work. I started off by making blankets, baby clothing and booties. I also started to make plushies; better known as amigurumi. Within a short few months of creating various items, I wanted to create my own pattern and something that could be enjoyed during our cold days in Colorado.

This is where my version of a Scoodie (hooded scarf) came together. I created it in my vision, one that no others at the time looked like or that offered pockets. This really brought out even more creativity for me and inspired me to expand my horizons. Like anyone else I ventured off and started to use different yarns, finding brands that would allow me to create quality items.

Fast forward to 2023, when I finally made it official and started my business. With the help and support of my loving husband, my dream of creating Lady J’s Crochetions came to be. With “Lady” in mind, I wanted a logo to match. So, yet again I created and designed my ladybug through crochet. But to bring it all to life, I got some much-needed artistic assistance from a fellow crochet friend to help draw an amazing logo. A huge thank you to Amanda at Eclectic Scribbles for her artistic work.

I’m still learning along the way, especially while I juggle being a wife, a mom and working a full-time career. I still manage to do my hobby in my free time, so I can offer my creations to others to enjoy and bring smiles to their faces. :)
